We are happy to provide images of our step-by-step process to our customers upon request, many choose this service when their vehicle is a classic, future classic car or a full restoration to document all of the work carried out on the said vehicle.
Our 1215 Vixen Aquablast machine uses water mixed with abrasive to create a slurry which consistently creates a smoother uniformed surface finish. This machine provides us full control, by adjusting the parameters to produce a flow of slurry and blasting pressure that can vary from delicate to aggressive. This is beneficial for high-precision manufacturing applications and parts. Another advantage of the wet blasting process is that it is more easily repeatable to get an identical finish time after time. The water acts as a lubricant so there is no unwanted media impregnation, unlike dry blasting methods and can be used for a variety of different industries and applications.
Automotive restoration
Our blasting machinery is designed to simultaneously blast and degrease components in a quick and effective dust-free process. This creates a softer surface finish which is preferred throughout the Automotive Industry. Our wet blasting process produces no dust and a polished finish, a lot of customers choose Aqua rather than dry blasting, because of the desired finish required. From single parts to full engine, gearbox and turbo refurbishment we have the right tools for the job.
3D printing
At Arba Blasting our service can also be beneficial for the 3D printing process, to smooth out the lines on the objects. Our 1215 Vixen Aquablast machine uses water mixed with abrasive to create a slurry which consistently creates a smoother uniformed surface finish. The water acts as a lubricant so there is no unwanted media impregnation, unlike dry blasting methods which can be used in a variety of different industries.
Aerospace
Aerospace also relies heavily on wet blasting for various manufacturing processes. This is to ensure a gentle cleaning action to the objects that are also very precise. Wet blasting can include surface preparation such as removing heat scale from turbine blades and welds to deep cleaning and the removal of contaminants when servicing jet engines.
CNC machining
Within this industry, 100% accuracy is very important to ensure thousands of identical parts can be produced. This process aims to be much quicker than if conventional machining is used. An effective way to finish these parts is the wet blasting process. This can leave the part with a uniform finish, or prepare it for the next stage. The wet blasting method produces a consistent finish that can be achieved quickly and efficiently, whilst saving time and cost in all disciplines of engineering. When a part is being machined, the tool that is used to cut the part can leave marks which are undesirable. This means the parts do not look the same.
